Custom Size Guide

Accurate measurements help us build cosplay boots, costumes and accessories that are comfortable and proportional. Use a flexible measuring tape, keep it level, and ask another person to help whenever possible. Measure over the socks, clothing, padding or armor you plan to wear with the finished item.

Before you measure

  • Use inches or centimeters and tell us which unit you used.
  • Stand naturally and do not pull the tape too tight.
  • Measure both feet or both legs when possible and send the larger measurement.
  • Do not copy measurements from an old garment unless we request them.
  • Include your normal US shoe size as a reference, but send the physical measurements as well.

Cosplay boots and shoes

For custom boots, send the following measurements while wearing the socks and trousers you expect to use:

  1. Foot length: stand on paper, mark the heel and longest toe, then measure the straight distance between the marks.
  2. Ball circumference: wrap the tape around the widest part of the forefoot.
  3. Ankle circumference: measure around the narrow area above the ankle bones.
  4. Calf circumference: measure around the widest part of the calf.
  5. Boot height: measure from the floor beside the heel to the required top edge.
  6. Top opening circumference: measure around the leg at the exact finished boot height.

Suits, jackets and vests

For made-to-measure clothing, send your total height and weight plus neck, chest, waist, hips, shoulder width, sleeve length, biceps, wrist, jacket length, inseam and outseam. For fitted garments, also include thigh, knee and ankle circumference. Tell us whether armor, padding or another costume layer will sit underneath.

Keep the chest and waist tape level around the body. Measure shoulder width from one shoulder point to the other across the back. Measure sleeve length with the arm slightly bent, from the shoulder point to the wrist.

Gloves

Measure around the widest part of your dominant hand without including the thumb. Also send hand length from the wrist crease to the tip of the middle finger and the middle-finger length from its base to the tip. Browse our cosplay gloves.

Belts, gaiters and leg wraps

Measure your waist where the belt will actually sit, over the costume layers you will wear. For gaiters and leg wraps, send ankle, calf and top-opening circumference plus the required finished height. Browse our costume belts.
